Viega’s Compound fittings for Autodesk® Revit® combine press tees, fitting reducers and couplings to create any configuration necessary while maintaining accurate schedule counts.

A few items to understand to make them work properly for you:
  • Compound Tees contain nested families and lookup tables to fix end type schedules based on OOTB Revit® programming issues by combining a P x P x P Tee, and multiple combinations of FTG x Press Reducing Coupling at the branch, along with any coupling combination necessary to step the fitting down multiple sizes, with a correct fitting count on your schedules.
  • Nested families use the "Shared" checkbox to relay information to the schedule.
  • The "Compound fitting" and the nested components will appear in your schedules. Filter out the "Description" for "Compound" on your Material Schedules to correct quantity counts.
  • The "Compound Reducers" contain a FTG x P Reducer, and a checkbox option to include a coupling or not when connecting to a piece of pipe vs use with a fitting. No logic can be applied for the use of the coupling, so end users need to cycle this based on necessity.
Routing Preferences should be set to the "Compound" versions of the Tees for ease of use. Flex connected sizes of pipe, and the fittings will flex and update fitting combinations used to produce the correct outlet sizes you're wanting to achieve.
